COBRA REBORN: The G.I. Joe Dio-Comic

This series takes place sometime after the events in the Marvel Comics series.

Here's where things stand as  COBRA REBORN begins: GI Joe is still active, but in a diminshed role. Their  main advesary... Cobra... is no longer being classified as a terrorist organization, and is a 'legitimate' weapons manufacturer. This change in Cobra's status is not from actually becoming a benign corporation, but through bribes and blackmail of US politicians. And while not being hunted by GI Joe has been a relief, Cobra Commander is starting to chaffe under the boredom of legitimacy.

Cobra's one-time allies, Destro and the Baroness have married, and continue to run MARS... Destro's ancesteral weapons manufacturing corporation. But things haven't been going well for the Baroness recently; having been diagnosed with a terminal illness, she wrestles with her own desires to return to 'the good old days' with Cobra... when she believed in something, and life was exciting. She blames Destro for her sedentary life, and their marriage has become strained.  Her dreams... have become nightmares...
